- Standard 6: Developing as a Worker
Within these standards we cover training on:

New recruits to the care industry and/or Allied Healthcare also receive training on:
- The organisation, Allied Healthcare for which they are working
- Core values
- Code of conduct
- Terms and conditions of employment including disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Policies and procedures of the organisation
Wherever there is a need for specialised training, this is further provided, by our in-house “specialist training team”. Or where appropriate, by expert external providers. We have in addition, developed good partnership working with Social Services and have participated in many Training Forums and Development Groups with them, to deliver relevant modules.
For Service Users with complex needs all staff must already have received the required mandatory training and experience in a healthcare / homecare setting. Specialist training is given, as it is our responsibility to ensure care staff have the ability, competence and confidence to carry out all duties within each individual complex care package. The management of complex needs will be met by specialist training as identified by the Branch Manager for the particular Care Worker allocated to the Service User.
